In the first meeting of the Relief Society, Sister Emma Smith said, “We are going to do something extraordinary.”
When the Prophet Joseph Smith told Relief Society sisters to “live up to [their] privilege,” he combined that exhortation with a promise: “The angels cannot be restrained from being your associates. … If you will be pure, nothing can hinder.”
Is being a member of Relief Society part of your identity? Do you know your history as a woman in the church? Do you love it? Do you draw strength from it? Do you study “Daughters In My Kindgdom”?

Joseph Smith told the early members of Relief Society to encourage “the brethren to good works in looking to the wants of the poor – searching after objects of charity, and in administering to their wants – to assist by correcting the morals and strengthening the virtues of the female community.”
Is this not the savior’s example? Acts 10:38, “He went about doing good”
