The Relief Society Service Group is having a FOOD DRIVE during the Month of November. Please bring non-perishable food items to the Church. There will be a box to put it in. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions, please call Terri Thomas at 908-868-7064.
All food donated to the Service Group Food Drive will be given to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey in Hillside.
**ALSO: Sarah Woll from the Scotch Plains 1st Ward is organizing an LDS Donation to two charities in their area. She said, “I recently came in contact with the Interfaith Hospitality Network of Somerset County and FISH Inc. of Piscataway. They both help people in need whether they are elderly, single women and men or families with children. Many of the people assisted are homeless and they work with them to help them attain independence. I would like to get as many donations of the following items as possible. I think it would be great to have a large donation coming into each of these organizations from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!”
ITEMS NEEDED:
*Will deliver to them by the week of Thanksgiving):
- Laundry Detergent
- Laundry Detergent tabs (no Liquids)
- Paper towels
- Cleaning supplies
- Deodorant (Suave or Dove)
- Mouthwash
- Body Wash
- Bar Soap (Dove or Dial
- Body Lotion
- Fem. Hygiene products
- Bed pillows
- Shampoo, Conditioner, Shaving Cream
- Baby items, Diapers sizes 4, 5, 6: baby lotion; baby shampoo; baby wash, wipes, unscented wipes
and Purex baby detergent.
If you would like to donate any of these items, there will be a box to put them in at church.
